Starting on Monday, I will be off to work at the Department of Education. It's a 20 week contract for 30 hours /week. I think it is the hardest decision I have ever had to make. After much search, we finally found a babysitter that we trust. She has a 4 year old boy and a 10 month old boy of her own and in another month they will be joined by another 4 year old boy and a 1 year old girl. Kya spent two mornings there this week and her and Noah spent a full day (by 3:00 I caved in and went to pick them up). She doesn't seen to be adjusting very well at this point but I'm confident that she will. She is so attached to me that it is very hard for her (not to mention the poor thing cut two teeth since Wednesday). There is nothing worse than handing your child off to a stranger when she is crying and reaching for her mom. I'm sure all you other moms know exactly what I'm talking about.
Noah seems to like the sitter but is laying the guilt on me saying how much he will miss me when I go to work. He's a lucky little boy that I was able to stay home with him for 4 years.
I am actually looking forward to being in the workforce again and having conversations with grown-ups. Plus bring home a little extra money doesn't hurt either! Wish us luck!

Working Mom
Bath time
We started a new Friday night tradition with Lisa and Brandon and their kids. After work (for the boys and soon to be gals) we take turns hosting appetizer night. It's full of lots of food and beer M&M meat shop loves seeing us walk in. Last night we headed to the Harvey's for some fun. Later in the night Nicholas was getting ready for a bath and then Kya wanted to join and Noah never wants to miss a party so here's the end result

Siblings
Before coming home on Sunday, we had to go and checkout the Pond Hockey Tournament in Plaster Rock. We only stayed long enough to see the overtime period of a game between Rhode Island and Washington. Washington won. Noah and Kya are always holding hands in the back seat. It's too cute.
Flying Noah
Here's a picture of Noah being thrown in the air. This photo is overlooking the Tobique River. It really is a beautiful spot.
Sliding Party
This past weekend we went to Lisa's cottage in the Tobique for a Carleton County Sliding party. It was definately a unique experience. There were kids everywhere with their GT Snow Racers and when they got to the bottom of the hill, somebody would pick them up and haul them to the top on their snow mobiles. There were snow mobiles everywhere and some had little cabooses in the back fixed with seat belts for the kids. Noah had a ball. We even had a cookout at the top of the hill.

Mmmm Cheerios

Liverpool Street School
Liverpool Street School has an outdoor skating rink this year. It's very convenient for us.
Kya in ski boots
Greg and Noah were getting ready to go for their first ski adventure at Crabbe Mountain last Sunday and Kya just had to test Noah's boots. The boys had a great time and Noah is doing really well on the hill. Before the winter is over, Greg hopes to get him up on the chairlift. Unfortunately no pictures of skiing.

It's so hard for us to get a decent picture of Noah and Kya together. One of them is always trying to escape. They really are the best of friends.
