Christmas Festivities
Christmas activities are in full swing here at the Lydon household. It all started in November with the Santa Claus parade which I only have one picture of. We went to the Superstore for a gingerbread house class and met up with some good friends. We arrived a bit late and had to leave early to get Noah to hockey on time so I only have photos with Emily and William.
The next day CBCL hosted a party for all of the employee's kids. Again we were late so we missed out on the scavenger hunt but had fun doing more gingerbread decorating and seeing Santa. The kids have been incredibly excited for Christmas since this party. It was held out at Kilarney Lake in their lodge and it was a great way to spend a snowy Sunday afternoon.
This past weekend my grandmother and her sister hosted a Danish Christmas party. My grandmother is Danish and wanted all of the family to have some traditional danish food and sing carols around the Christmas tree. It was great to see family that I haven't seen since I was a kid and the food was delicious.
We headed out towards Stanley on Sunday with Barry and Irene to get our Christmas tree. It was sunny but cold out so we enjoyed the hot chocolate and cookies in the cabin afterwards.

Sisters
I seem to have alot of photos of Briana and Kya together. I guess it's because us girls are together during the day while Noah is in school and Greg's at work. They are definatey beautiful little models.

Let it Snow!
Yesterday was our first official snow storm. We did have some flurries earlier in the week but it didn't last. Yesterday morning we woke up to snow on the ground and Noah and Kya were so excited to get outside and play.

Here are a few of my favorite recent shots of Briana. She is getting so big! She goes for her 4 month shots in a week so I'm very anxious to see what her new stats are!

We haven't been doing much lately, just sticking close to home. Greg has been doing some renos in our basement; we plan on putting a bathroom in. One shower/tub isn't quite enough for a family of 5.
We are anxiously awaiting news on two new arrivals due within the week. My sister's baby girl, Danica and the Slipp's new baby. Here are a few pictures of our babies that are getting too big too fast!

Trick or Treat
First of I need to say that I love Kya's new Christmas dress from the Keats family. She is only wearing it as a costume because her Cinderella outfit was not warm enough and her coat would not fit underneath it. She came downstairs Friday morning with a Santa hat on and I thought that she could go out this year as Mrs. Claus. She looked super cute and I'm sure you will all see that dress in many posts in the next couple of months.
Our kids went trick or treating with the Harvey kids in Poets Hill while Briana and I stayed home with Lisa. As you can see Briana is just bored by the whole event. We only had about 10 kids stop by our place. Greg took the kids up and down one street so they do not have an outrageous amount of candy this year. Hopefully it'll all be gone soon.

Pumpkin Carving
The kids were very particular with the jack o' lanterns this year. Kya had to have a butterfly and Noah wanted his pumpkin to have half moon eyes, a square nose and fangs. He also wanted it to have hair and eye lashes but we painted those on instead.

Sunday Drive and Pumpkin Decorating
A few weekends ago we packed the family into the van and went for a drive to Gagetown to take the kids on the very short ferry ride. When we lived in Nelson our good friends Chris and Sharon lived in a community called Glade and we had to take one of these ferry's to thier house. Noah still talks about the Glade Ferry so we thought he would enjoy the one in Gagetown.
The pumpkin decorating kit is the best thing ever! Greg won it at Noah's school's Family Fun Night. The kids had a ball decorating thier pumpkins and there was no mess.

Kya Turns 3
I can't believe our little girl is 3 years old. She is turning into a real girly girl and only wants to wear skirts or dresses these days with her "big socks". She loves lip gloss and jewerely. She makes us smile everyday and we love her so much!We hope you had a great birthday Tico!
Kya had an extended 3rd birthday this year. It started on Thursday when her preschool friends had a party for her and then later that night Grammie and Art brought over their gifts for her since they were going to be away on her actual birthday. Grammie, of course, has her clothed for another year Friday us girls hung out and we went out to dinner with Gramma and Grampa and then they came over afterwards for some cake. Greg made Kya a gorgeous VW Van toybox. She loves it and it looks great up in her room. He worked really hard to get it done for her birthday. Great job Daddy-O!
Sunday we had Kya's birthday party with our friends. We stole the idea of having a pajama/pancake party followed by a craft and cupcakes. Greg cooked up a storm while enjoying his coffee and Bailey's. Kya got alot of great gifts from her friends, a big thank you to everyone!
