Kya loved her new hat and mitts from Ava Slipp. She wore them to daycare this morning and she needed them. It was COLD! She's a little princess that's for sure. It is so much fun dressing up little girls. When shopping for a boy, its more about "are the knees going to last in these jeans"

Birthday Party
Yesterday we had Kya's second birthday party. We keep saying that we have to get them together more often and I think that now that winter is coming we really should start having regular play dates. It's so much fun getting the adults together and the kids enjoy it too :)
The kids all got along well. They seemed to enjoy their lasagna and garlic bread and we even got a few of them to eat the salad. And of course the cake was a big hit!
Here are some photos of Kya unwrapping her gifts. It started out some what controlled but by the end it was complete mayhem. And it was over in under 3 minutes. Thank you to everybody for all the great gifts.

Yesterday was Kya's 2nd birthday. I can not believe she is two already. It really is true when people tell you to take the time and enjoy your children because they grow so fast. We love you so much Kya!
We had a family gathering for Kya last night. Both sets of grandparents came over and we had a pizza party and chocolate cake that she wasn't interested in at all. (That is a first!) She got a lot of great gifts - thank you to every body. We get to do it all over again on Sunday when we have her official birthday party. We can't wait to see everyone. It's been too long!

Early Halloween
Noah and Kya's previous sitter has an early Halloween party this past weekend at Odell Park. The weather was gorgeous and the kids had a ball. Noah was suppose to be a pirate this year but when he went shopping for his costume he came across this one and had to have it.

Fall Update
YEAH - I can finally update my blog from home again. Hopefully this will encourage me to update more often. There have been alot of changes in the Lydon household this fall. Noah started daycare at the YMCA in September with Kya joining him a month later. We are very happy with them being there. They get swimming lessons once a week, they play at Wilmot park every afternoon and are constantly doing fun activities. Noah's favorite was pajama day and I must admit I enjoyed that one also. I made sure to put clean pajamas on him the night before and after breakfast the next morning, we were off to daycare :) Kya is so happy to be back with her brother and apparently he is quite the little man making sure she knows the rules of the Y and introducing her to everyone.
Greg started a new job in September. He is really enjoying it so far and its great because he is right downtown across the street from me. It's awesome having him home at 5pm and having the extra hands getting Noah and Kya ready in the mornings.
Here is a picture of Noah and Robert Munsch a few weeks ago. Noah is a big fan of his books and as soon as we heard he was doing a show at the Playhouse, we bought tickets.

The Pirate Ship
This was Art's end of summer project. His 6 year old grandson Carter requested that Art build him a pirate ship and this is the end result. The kids love it. Noah and Carter could play on it all day and Kya just tags along with them.

Morning outing with Dad
Greg and I take turns sleeping in on the weekends and while I use my early morning to try to get some housework done, Greg is always packing up the kiddies and taking them some place. It works out well for me because I can stay in bed a bit longer and they always brings me home a Tim's coffee. They like to go to the Experiemental Farm (or is it the Potato Research Center) so that they can let Ruben run around and Noah and Kya chase him. These pictures were taking there.

Apple Picking
We spent a beautiful Sunday morning in Keswick apple picking with the kids. It is one of my favorite traditions to do with kids. These are some of my favorite apple picking shots taking this year. We have to try to get some more colorful fall shots.

Noah and Kya
Lisa sent me these photos of the kids taken at Nicholas' birthday party last weekend. Too cute. They are both getting way to big and grown up for my liking!
